Crystal Broadbent is the head pastry chef and brings a unique flair and decadence to her menu. She starts with classics like banana pudding and brings them up to a level that hits the senses on all levels.

Las Delicias Bakery 

For dessert lover’s who enjoy pastries and bread with an international flair, you’ll want to make a stop at Las Delicias Bakery on Central Avenue. Head pastry chef Zhenia Martinez brings the traditional recipes that her mother brought when she came from Chihuahua, Mexico to the citizens and tourists in the Charlotte area.

The bakery offers classic bakery items and favorites from many Central and South American countries. The chef’s favorite dish, and a hit with all those who stop in is her trenza which is braided bread with raisins and Bavarian cream. Other popular favorites include passion fruit cake and churros. Locals of the area are also known to grab some tamales during their visit which have been ranked the best in the city.
