Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2019 Ford Fiesta is a five-seat compact vehicle that comes in two body styles — sedan and hatchback — and four main trim levels. The SE is available as a sedan and a hatchback, while the ST-Line is hatchback only and the S and ST are sedan only. With the base trim level, exterior features include halogen headlights with black bezel surrounds, solar tinted glass, 15-inch steel wheels, and chrome upper grille bars with a black lower grille. The SE looks the same from the outside, although the hatchback version has a different body style. The ST-Line trim level comes with a glossy upper front grille, unique trim elements, shadow black side mirrors, 16-inch black wheels, a spoiler, and a matching roof, fog lights, a keyless entry keypad, a rear wiper, side rocker moldings, and specialty sill plates. Choose the ST sedan to get a high-mounted rear spoiler, a twin chrome-tipped exhaust, and power-adjustable side mirrors with turn signal indicators.

Engine (Power)

The base trim level of the 2019 Ford Fiesta comes equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 112 pound-feet of torque and 120 horsepower. It works with a five-speed manual transmission, although a six-speed dual-clutch automatic is available as an upgrade. The ST trim level has a more powerful 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, rating at 202 pound-feet of torque and 197 horsepower. This unit pairs with a six-speed manual transmission and a sport-tuned suspension.

Performance

One of the most appealing aspects of the 2019 Fiesta is its fuel efficiency. It's a great option for commuters and big-city drivers because of its compact size and comfortable handling. With the base engine, the EPA fuel economy estimates come in at 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. With its more powerful engine, the ST trim level's estimates are slightly lower at 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

Interior

Interior features of the S trim level include a height-adjustable driver's seat, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, split-folding rear seats, power locks, Sync voice controls, a 4.2-inch central display screen, a six-speaker audio system with a USB port, and Bluetooth connectivity. With the SE, additional features include upgraded cloth upholstery, automatic climate control, chrome interior door handles and complementary trim, ambient interior lighting in multiple colors, a front center console, and parental controls for teen drivers. Choose the ST-Line to get black interior accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red accent stitching, a multi-functional messaging center with an LCD screen, two smart charging USB ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, satellite radio, and Ford's Sync 3 infotainment system. The top ST has these features, along with a premium Sony audio system, leather-wrapped shift knob with red accents, keyless ignition, and adjustable lumbar support in the driver's seat.

Safety Features

Standard safety equipment includes electronic stability control, air bags throughout the cabin, a rearview camera, a post-crash alert system, and a tire-pressure monitoring system. The available MyKey feature lets the owner configure a key to follow certain safety protocols, such as limiting speed or stereo volume. This is a welcome feature for parents of teenagers just getting behind the wheel.
