Trim Levels (Exterior)

There are four trim levels available for this SUV: the SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. All four trims include solar-tinted glass up front and privacy glass for the rear windows and liftgate. There is also a reverse sensing system on all the trims to alert you when you get to close to objects. The SE includes rain-sensing windshield wipers as well as Autolamp wiper-activated headlights. The SEL adds to these features by including LED fog lamps. This trim also features heated power mirrors with security approach lights and turn signal indicators. The body color rear spoiler helps the vehicle stay more aerodynamic while you drive. The Titanium and ST have the same standard features as the SEL. If you choose the ST, you have the option of adding a panoramic sunroof.

Engine (Power)

The standard engine in the Edge is a Twin-Scroll 2.0L EcoBoost Engine. It has auto start-stop technology and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The performance-ready ST trim comes with an upgraded 2.7L V-6 EcoBoost engine.

Performance

When it comes to handling, the Edge is a front-wheel drive vehicle in all trims except for the ST. It has standard traction control on all trims along with AdvanceTrac with roll stability control and curve control. The ST comes standard with all-wheel-drive capabilities. It also comes with Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive with All-Wheel-Drie Disconnect. This system gives the SUV the ability to disconnect the rear driveline. Once that is disconnected the front wheels propel the vehicle reducing drag and demands on the drivetrain.

Interior

Technology helps the Edge feel comfortable and keeps you connected on the road. All of the trims include the Ford Co-Pilot360 system as standard equipment. The Co-Pilot is a set of five different apps meant to assist the driver on the road. The SE adds a cargo net to keep things from rolling around. It also has a Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert. The rear seat folds and divides to change up your cargo and people configurations. The SEL includes the FordPass Connect System with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. The FordPass allows you to remotely lock and unlock your vehicle. It also includes FordPay which lets you pay for mechanical service. The Titanium adds in two smart charging USB ports. The ST consists of all of the above plus an optional heated steering wheel and front 180-degree camera with a split view and washer. You can also use a wireless charging pad for your smartphone to this trim.

Safety Features

Stay safe on the road with post-collision braking available on all the trims. This additional braking system helps reduce secondary impacts after an accident by applying moderate brake pressure. After a crash, the SOS post-crash alert system will turn on your lights and horn alerting others that you need help. There is also a safety canopy that consists of air bags around both rows of seats and a rollover sensor.
